Children who are Overweight or Obese: Grades K-6

This indicator shows the percentage of students (grades K-6) who are overweight or obese. Using body mass index reference data by age and sex, overweight is categorized as >=85th percentile but <95th percentile and obese is >95th percentile. The BMI is calculated by taking a person's weight and dividing it by their height squared in metric units. (BMI = Weight (Kg)/[Height (m) ^ 2] )
